I'm currently in a class called software development inwhich my group and I must try to develop a game we believe would sell for 29.99. Anywho, our first group meeting to discuss our storyboard with our teacher is tomorrow and wanted to see what anyone thought of the story I made up to go with out game. It might be a bit much , but eh, gotta go over the top. In class we decided on a few details but because of my reputation for creativity I was chosen to write a more detailed version of the story, and heres what I came up with. It's still rough but what do you guys think?





Once upon a time in the year 2011, the terrorist organization Al-Qaida catapulted a suicide bomber into the United Nations HQ destroying the building and killing hundreds and injuring thousands. This was reported as the greatest tragedy since 911.

Despite the ferocity of the attack, and the deaths of so many innocents, none of the ambassadors or leaders were severely injured. For the next few years all communication was done via video satellite, but deals started to stagnate because communication was not as personal as it was when all the leaders met in person.

The problem was that they did not want to build another place in a crowded area where terrorists could get to it and injure more civilians, leaders, or their representatives. In the year 2020, 9 years after the 2011 catapult cataclysm (as it is now known), the IFNIF (Island for nationally integrated friends) was created.

This island was built in the middle of the Bermuda triangle using the strange weather patterns there as a natural barrier against terrorist intrusion. All the leaders were transported there via submarine and all knowledge of the schedules of these vehicles was a closely guarded secret. The IFNIF was a great success!

Because of the secrecy this haven granted from the press and other mal-influences the countries around the world were able to strengthen there bonds, and had a new amount of respect and trust with one another. In the year 2025 the terrorist leader said to be in charge of Al-Quaida, the notorious Osama-bin laden was apprehended off the coast of Spain. With the capture of one of the most infamous of terrorist leaders it hit terrorism around the world hard. Al-Qaida quickly dissolved without its leader and terrorism around the world experienced a severe and rapid decline.

The world seemed to have been ushered into a new golden age. The economy was on the rise on a global scope and poverty around the world had declined to less than 1% of the world’s total population. For years the planet earth experienced a golden age and a sharp rise is the standard of living for all humans.

With prosperity comes complacency though and with terrorism all but exterminated and security started to get lax. One day information fell into the hands of a new terrorist organization lead by Jamhid bin laden, Osama bin Laden’s son. This information exposed a fatal flaw in the design of the island and pointed out a day when all of the world’s leaders would be present at the island. Using his terrible genius he concocted a plan and managed to get a suicide bomber to the island.

The terrorist posing as maintenance managed to make it to the heart of the installation and managed to set off a small explosive near the flaw which caused a chain reaction setting the island a flame and sundering the island in two. Earthquakes seized the land sinking the isle to the bottom of the sea. There were no survivors.

No one knew what caused the island to be destroyed, because of the total annihilation of the island; everyone assumed that it was destroyed via nuclear missile. Each of the super powers blamed each other, without the enlightened rule of their leaders, the golden age rapidly declined. In the year 2075 martial law was declared globally by each of countries highest admirals.

World war issued between all of the super powers, a war so brutal it warped the nature of the land and caused civilization to crack under its intensity. The hate this war generated lasted for decades. When the smoke cleared there were only 6 countries remaining.

The United North American Nation(UNAN),The South American Protectorate(SAP), The European Alliance(EA), The African Testimonial(AT), The Asian Elite(TAE), and Australia….which had remained neutral through the whole war claiming to not have anyway to really fight. After the war ended, the population was severely decimated and the land in shambles. Each country retreated into itself to heal and plan anew.

In the Year 21XX a young charismatic commander is chosen to lead his country to victory over his nation’s rivals. This young man is a master tactician of battle vehicle combat. Will this young commander be able to unite the twisted world? Only time will tell.




UNAN- UNAN has spent several years stockpiling weapons and primed for an offensive strike against its foes. UNAN is ambitions and believes that it’s time to make a move and will do whatever it takes to unite the world.

SAP- SAP has long been plagued by disease and believes this is the reason for its poor performance is the last world war. Because of this SAP has built lots of hospitals to provide healthcare for its people.


EA- EA has decided that they were to offensive minded in the last war, which caused them to wear themselves out, and are prepared to make a “defensive offensive” against its opponents and is ready to conquer.

AT- EA has long has trouble feeding its people and had problems with disease. Having purged corruption from its government it has produced many hospitals and has grown lots of crops to produce healthy and strong soldiers bent on protecting the soils of Africa.

TAE- TAE has decided that they need even more discipline and has improved military techniques to keep order even in the chaos of battle and believes this will give them the edge in winning the up and coming confrontation.

I wont touch any game that has to do with USA politics , leaders, terrorists, or small kittens. Im more of a fantasy buff, only read about 2 paragraphs of that, i lost interest too fast. Maybe change it to like Samurai Pizza Cats - The video Game. That cartoon series was amazing.

lol, well it's a group project, so final say isn't mine alone, my original ideal was for there to be a battle inside the body between virus and white blood cells along with mini-injected anti-virus tanks to help fight off infection!

I'm going to have to agree with Rikki on this-I play video games to get away from the real world, not have to deal with it even more.

If you do like this idea though, you never actually stated what you would be doing. Ok you are going to lead your country to win-how? What type of game is it? Are we talking like a civilization game or something different. And, that is a huge amount of background, and certain parts didn't fit. You said they ushered in a golden age, but it was only good for like 20years-thats not a golden age, thats a pause between horrible periods of time.

I like the fact that theres a long backstory personally, but I think most people would find it a bit overwhelming.

it's supposed to be a tank battle game, no way we could code something like civilization, we all suck to bad although that would have been cool. Me saying golden age was just my natural talent to exaggerate in my writitng is all lol. We were thinking after its been processed a bit, it would be the story we put in the book, you know, there for those who want it. Although a compressed version would play during the begining scenes of the game. There has to be a long story there since theres not much more in the middle of the game.

I agree with the others, try and keep RL out of the story.

I DO like the general idea of it though, has a decent flow, though the INANF(?) sounds a tad queer.

In short, good idea, maybe change some names around, change the boogeyman/spector/evil group into something else and I think you are good. The idea of various earth forces infighting amoungst themselves for scarce resources while a back drop of an evil(?) villian works fine.

It has potential.

Just make a mock Tetris game and call it Jetris.

Realworld stuff in a video game can be fun, as long as I can blow up people whose skin is a different color or who worship a different god.

how can you not know what Tetris is?

I don't think there're enough games out there where you get to be the bad guy. And if you can combine being the bad guy with tetris, you've got a winner.

I dont know about thee tetris bit, but phil has a point, playing an RTS from the point of a villain would be pretty cool, and have potential to make a funny/kick ass plot.
